This notice describes the personal information handled through the THE OR NOIR CO. online store, checkout and contact form.
Who is responsible for your information
THE OR NOIR CO. is the trade name listed in the Kbis for Yagoub Sid Ali, registered at 30 boulevard de Sébastopol, 75004 Paris, France (RCS Paris 851 070 474). For privacy questions or requests, contact info@theornoirco.eu.
Information we handle
- Orders and accounts: name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, items ordered, order history, account details and payment/transaction status needed to process a purchase.
- Contact requests: the name, email address, subject and message you submit through the contact form, together with any details you choose to include.
- Device and website activity: technical information such as browser/device identifiers, pages or events, and cookie or similar-technology data generated when you use the store.
- Payment data: checkout uses Stripe and WooPayments components. Those payment services process card/payment details; the store receives payment and transaction information needed to confirm and manage the order.
Why we use it
- To create and manage orders, take payment, arrange delivery, provide account functions and respond to order questions (to perform the purchase contract or take steps requested before it).
- To keep required business records and meet applicable legal obligations.
- To secure the site, prevent spam or misuse, and troubleshoot store operations (for legitimate interests in operating a secure service).
- To measure website or advertising activity through analytics and marketing integrations where those features operate.
Order and contact details needed to fulfil a purchase or answer a request are required for those purposes. If required details are not provided, we may be unable to complete the order or respond fully.
Who may receive information
Information may be handled by the store’s website and e-commerce services (WordPress and WooCommerce), the payment services presented at checkout (including Stripe or WooPayments), delivery providers needed to fulfil an order, and service providers that support hosting, contact forms, spam protection, analytics or advertising. Public store pages currently load WooCommerce/Jetpack Analytics, Reddit, Snapchat and TikTok scripts; checkout also loads Stripe and WooPayments components. Those services may receive technical, browsing, event or transaction information when their features run. Their own privacy notices explain their processing and any transfers they make.
Cookies and similar technologies
WooCommerce uses essential browser storage for functions such as the cart, checkout and account. Analytics and advertising integrations may also use cookies or similar technologies to measure activity. At the time of publication, the store pages we checked did not display a cookie-preference panel, while analytics/advertising scripts were loaded. This notice does not itself block those scripts or record consent. You can restrict cookies through your browser settings, although some store functions may then not work and browser settings may not control every third-party technology.
Retention and transfers
Order, account and transaction information is kept for as long as needed to operate the store, provide support, meet applicable accounting or other legal obligations, and handle disputes. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to respond and maintain relevant records. Technical and analytics data may be retained by the relevant provider under its own retention practices. Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area; details depend on the service used and are described in that provider’s privacy notice.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction, deletion or restriction of your personal information, object to certain processing, request portability where available, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Email info@theornoirco.eu to make a request. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL.
This notice reflects the store configuration and public scripts observed when it was published. The store’s third-party tracking and cookie controls should be reviewed and updated if those integrations or consent settings change.
